You may choose a topic from the | home page | including any of my articles in QST articles. Also, by arrangement, I will be happy to prepare, also free of charge, a custom topic to fit your interestsI present the lectures live from my home QTH in California, using Zoom or any other remote presentation/meeting software. The software you will need for a Zoom meeting is from: zoom.us See link below. The requirements for taking part in a remote meeting/lecture are very modest.
After you have selected a topic, send an email to: jportune@aol.com with your tentative date(s) time and topic. I will get back to you by email.
In your regular club meeting, you will introduce me as you normally do for a local speaker. Zoom meetings are two-way live, just like in a meeting. During/after the presentation, your members may ask quesitons and make comments.
Feel free to record the session for later reference for your members. You may distribute or publish it for non-commercial purposes.
If you would like to chat before scheduling a meeting, perhaps merely to become more familiar with the process, send an email to: w6nbcmail@gmail.com or phone (805) 406-6176 any morning 7-10 AM Pacific time, except Tuesday. The Zoom website also has several simple tutorials on how Zoom meetings work with answers to common questions.
